Mt Pleasant is a coastal suburb of Christchurch, situated on the lower slopes of the Port Hills, it’s very close to Lyttleton Harbour, Sumner Beach and the City Centre. There’s plenty of scope for leisure activities close by, including walking and biking tracks. A local riding school and driving range. Great windsurfing and stand-up paddle boarding on the Estuary, wonderful surf at Sumner Beach and Taylors Mistake. If you want to venture out a bit further, then there is a wide range of Ski Fields within a 1 1/2 hours’ drive. More relaxing activities could include the hot pools overlooking the beach at New Brighton. The central city offers a great buzz around the Riverside Market, with high street shopping, simulating architecture, Art Gallery’s and endless street art. Summary: This is an amazing property, aesthetically beautiful and completely comfortable. It’s tucked into the foothills of dramatic mountains and affords incredible views over the lovely gardens. We had such an incredible stay, and Susie gave us privacy while answering to all our needs.

Summary: We spent a lot of time at the beach, but we also LOVED the house. We had family/friends in the Christchurch area and were able to have a group of 4 for dinner and they were all blown away by the house as well. It’s hard to even describe how much more unique and high quality this place is compared to the usual VRBO. Nothing is from IKEA or looks like a hotel room. The furniture is mid century modern but with a velvety-rich-colors touch and the throw pillows are art-quality. The actual art on the walls is AMAZING. The host is very helpful and communicative. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Summary: We loved to stay in this wonderful apartment. Well equipped and all the beautiful art works created a wonderful atmosphere. The view is amazing and we had a great time. Suzanne was a wonderful host and we will recommend this place to everybody. This apartment reserves 5 stars.

Summary: The apartment is like an artists loft. Lovely views, there are houses in front but you still have sweeping views of the estuary. The art will keep you entertained. Everything you need for a great stay. Take your own beach towels. Do the walk at Taylor’s mistake, or wander round Mt Pleasant. Go to Sumner and The Tannery.

Summary: A beautiful, light, airy, art-filled, joyfully decorated space with a stunning kitchen (I love the mirror splash back) and the most comfortable beds. Had a quiet time to read, recharge and enjoy the surrounds esp Sumner. The host was incredibly responsive and friendly. Looks just like the photos. It was lovely. If you are considering, take the plunge. Worth it.
